a common problem after Caesarian section or other gynaecological operations

Welcome to the laser liposuction web site. In this web site we explain SmartLipo® and the newer laser liposuction techniques that we use at Absolute Aesthetics. Initially we started using the 6 Watts Smartlipo® system - but have recently moved to a 30W system with suction of the fat, to get more effective results quicker.

We have set the information out in a series of question and answers - as these are the questions we are often asked by our clients.

Why do we have fat in the body?

Fat is used in the body to store energy. When we eat and have extra calories that we might want to use later, our bodies turn the calories into fat and store them for later use.

How is fat stored?

Although many people think of fat as being like butter, it is actually held within
cells.

These fat cells can be thought of as being like balloons filled with fat - then groups of these cells are held together by loose connective tissue.

Therefore fat cannot “flow” between different areas - it stays in the areas that it is formed in.
